Nepenthe is a lovely, beautiful and kind filly that is always aiming to please.  She reminds me of her grandsire "Lieutenant of Whitefield" in her goofy sweet temperament and her beauty. 

She carries some of the old bloodlines in the Highland ponies which include the wonderful farms/breeders of Dene, Mendick, Whitefield, Coulmore and Glenbanchor. 

Nepenthe's name means a substance that has the power to induce forgetfulness and alleviate pain and sorrow.  This girl definitely fits her name.  She was born during a time of loss here at Trinityglen and her kind nature help get through the hard days. 

No matter where she is in the 20 acres she has to roam, if she sees me at the gate she charges up to say hello and be a constant companion.  She is the best at making someone's day with her endearing attention that she gives to whomever comes to visit.
